Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 27th June, 1985, Svetlana Kuznetsova is one of the most respected and popular stars of the WTA Tour and currently ranked world number 3. Since turning professional in 2000, Svetlana has shown the world her tremendous ability by winning her maiden Grand Slam title at the 2004 US Open and then reaching the finals of the 2006 French Open and 2007 US Open. Then, five years after winning her first Grand Slam, she claimed the 2009 French Open crown. Svetlana is also an Australian Open doubles champion.
